Debating Conflict

Hello again, my minions.
This past week has seen a whole lot of debate over conflict. I find this an extraordinary thing; to DEBATE over CONFLICT. Let's first look at the words.
DEBATE: to discuss or dispute about an issue, proposal, idea formally.
CONFLICT: a state of opposition; the clashing of opposing issues, proposals, and ideas.
Let's see what a thesaurus tells us, shall we?
DEBATE: discuss, contend, contrast, dispute, argue.
CONFLICT: clash, contend, contrast, fight, oppose.
Interesting.
CONTEND: to strive or fight. see: compete, contest, battle, dispute, fight, argue.
CONTRAST: a comparison showing vast differences. see: compare, differentiate, deviate, differ.
Again, interesting.
The point I am trying to make is a simple, and yet complicated one.
The Republican Party, mostly Conservative, stands for equality without barriers between Americans. They do not use race, sex, nationality, or any other divisive term within their agenda. They view every American as an American.
On the other hand, the Democratic Party, mostly Liberal, stands for separation, diversity, political correctness, and often uses racial, sexual, nationality, and any other divisive term to further their agenda. They view every American as a/an (place your choice of adjective here)-American. Hyphonationality.
I have done a lot of thinking about this issue. We are all Americans. We have our differences in culture, race, sex, education, politics, religions, languages, ideas, attractions, hobbies, jobs, ethics, morals, etc. Every one of us are different in some way from any other American. Period. We will always be different.
That said, I want to point out that with differences come conflict, at some level. We as Americans will always be in conflict with each other about every one of the previously listed differences. It is inevitable. It is the natural course of life. Conflict. And there will always be conflict as long as there are differences. To end a conflict at any level, you must have a resolution.
RESOLUTION: the act of solving doubt, a question, or a problem. see: recommendation, determination, conclusion, decree, decision, declaration.
Basically, an end to hostilities. The winner gets his/her way. The survival of the fittest, in other words.
When a society has differences, it inevitably has conflict. When a conflict occurs, there are bound to be injuries. Until a resolution is obtained, there will be conflict, and injuries. To gain a resolution, you must have a winner, and a loser. To compromise does not resolve the conflict. Compromises do not eliminate differences, which are of course, the root of all conflicts.
Get it?
The ONLY WAY to end all wars is to eliminate all opposition. You can only have peace if there is no conflict. To have no conflicts, you must eliminate all differences between the parties involved. To eliminate differences, one side or the other MUST give in, totally, to the other's rule of ideas, principles, laws, culture, language, sexual orientation, education, religion, ethics, and morals. That is the only possible way of obtaining WORLD PEACE! It is as simple as that.

I doubt it. It's just the way of life.

Hi there!
Well, since I am still sitting here, in my Great Green Recliner at the Center of the Universe, drinking a tall, cold Killian's Irish Red, and seeing all that is to be seen throughout the Galaxy on the Vast Widescreen of Everything, and since you are out there in the blogosphere reading this monoblogue, then I can only assume that THE WORLD DID NOT END!
That's right, disciples, all the cries of Satan's return, the Anti-Christ's rise, and the End of All Things went for naught. With the exception of the odd volcano, a duffel-bag of lopped-off heads, and the usual murders and mayhem in the big cities of this Big Blue Marble, nothing Earth-shattering, Heaven-opening, Horn-blowing, or Venom-spewing happened. Satan did not rise up from the pit of the fallen World Trade Centers in an all-consuming eruption of fire and brimstone, Osama. The Anti-Christ did not rise up and bring down the Holy Roman Church, or any other church for that matter, Pat. The ground did not open up and devour all the sinners, televangelists, or politicians, Hillary.
NOTHING HAPPENED!
Damn.
I kinda hoped something would have, you know. Instead, all we got was the opening of a lame remake of a classic horror movie. Thanks, Hollywood. You did it again.
You know, 6 - 6 - 6 is the Number of the Beast, not the number of the date all Hell was suppose to break loose. Too bad so many of you out there don't know enough about the Bible to know that little fact. Come to think of it, much of what you God-fearing mortals out there fear cannot be found within the bounds of the Sacred Scriptures at all.
Did you know that the fire and brimstone Hell so many preachers describe within the walls of their churches does not come from the Holy Bible, but from Dante's Inferno? That's right. A work of fiction written by a disgruntled, exiled Italian writer in 13th Century Europe. Dante wrote his "Inferno", part of the greater work entitled "The Divine Comedy", as a warning for the people of his native Florence for the evils which awaited them for their misdeeds and the confusion and corruption of their government. He created the most dire visions of Hell and used those who had exiled him from his homeland, or wronged him in any way, as the suffering characters of his story. He imagined the worst possible ways for them to suffer throughout eternity, and put them to paper.
After his death, the images contained within the "Inferno" were used by the clergy to scare their flocks onto the straight and narrow, and to obey the Church without question, or suffer at the hands of Satan within the Infernos of Hell. No such place is described, or even hinted at, within the Bible. But so many of you "Good Christians" out there believe it to be true. Blind Faith for the Blind Sheep.
For the past, oh, two-thousand years, men have been shouting warnings of the coming of the End of the World. For two-thousand years these warnings have been listened to. And for two-thousand years NOTHING HAS HAPPENED!
And what's up with people taking these damned movies, fictional works of art, as factual? "The DiVinci Code" is a work of fiction, the same as "The Omen", and yet people veg-out over movies depicting Biblical controversies and not over movies depicting Satanic overtures. Both of these movies contain roughly the same amount of Biblical fact. Very Little! Yet one has people protesting, signs screaming for its destruction out front of churches, TV specials digging into its truths and lies, and the other is a bad remake of a classic thriller that everyone back in those days knew was fiction. Too bad you prudes are so dumb as to think Satan is at work here. Geez.
The "Date that Comes but Once a Millennium" has come and gone, without the Bad Guy's return. The Anti-Christ doesn't exist, I guess, otherwise...

Holy, Caped Crusader!

Greetings, my fellow mortals.
This past week it was revealed that Kathy Kane, also known as Batwoman, is a Lesbian. She made this announcement in a press conference that many of the nation's drive-by media covered. Her outing as a gay, middle-aged woman of wealth, power, and influence was as unexpected as her return to crime-fighting after such a long hiatus.
I ask simply, Why? Why does this fantastic, red-haired woman, a woman who is wealthy enough to stay out of the mainstream for much of the last two decades, come out and announce that she is a lesbian? Was she pushed by the Left-wing Liberals who feel that they need to have as many famous people outted as possible to advance their agendas of forced-diversity throughout American culture? Was she forced to announce her sexual orientation before some trash tabloid outed her on its shocking front page? Did she do it because she is a proud woman, who is equally proud to be Gay?
Kathy Kane is a very beautiful woman whom many an American male would give their souls to be seen with, let alone make love to. Many famous persons, from Bruce Wayne to Stephen Grant, have been linked at one time or another to Ms. Kane. Although she has been seen at times with an unidentified female Gotham Police detective, it was widely thought she was simply a woman who enjoyed fast cars, famous men, and the occasional thrill of the chase when it came to crime-fighting. Now it has been revealed that she has been in seclusion these past years to protect herself from the drama of tabloid journalism. The question still must be asked, why did she feel the need to declare herself a lesbian after all these years?
For the past twenty years, the Gay and Lesbian communities have been gaining acceptance throughout American society. To be a gay man, or lesbian woman, is no longer a big deal. We have many famous people, from Rosey and Melissa, to the Queer Eye Guys, on television and in movies. To be outted is no longer a full-on media feeding frenzy it once was.
Unfortunately, the Gay and Lesbian community, pushed by a Liberal Media/Politico agenda no doubt, have been forced to begin taking political stands where the Hetero community does not want them. Not much of the country gives much of a care as to the sexual orientation of historic figures, and yet now the preferences of many Gay and Lesbian figures, who may have never wanted it publicly know while they were alive, are being outted by many west-coast liberal schools. This forced outing is a violation of personal privacy!
I'm sure there are millions of men and women, or all ages, that do not want the entire nation to know their private sexual desires. And yet, these liberals are pushing for every person of fame or influence to declare their sexual orientation. I'm sure that if Hillary felt it would assure her the White House in '08 she, too, would out herself. Not that anyone would be surprised!
Most of America doesn't care whether Gay Men and Lesbian Woman live together as spouses. Even getting "married" didn't bother too many. That is until somebody had to go and make it a federal case. The next thing you know, the righteous are pushing for an unneeded Constitutional Amendment, while the liberal-leftists are screaming for equal rights. They even have the balls, in some cases, to compare the plight of the homosexual community to the struggles of Blacks in the last century. What the Hell? Are they serious?
Sexual behavior, orientation, and desire should be kept private, between the parties involved. The law states that an employer cannot ask a person's sexual orientation when applying for a job, and yet a radical few are demanding they be recognized as a separate group, elevated above all others, or else. To be homosexual is in no way equal to being a racial minority. Separatism, to define individuals with labels, is against the very basis of the Constitution, and yet this is the basis of nearly every Liberal policy out there. Why do we have to label ourselves at all? Why do we feel the need to bash our Government when they pry into our personal lives, and yet do the same when they do not recognize us as labeled groups? The Government does not need to be getting involved, at any level, in our sex lives. Keep your sexual orientations to yourselves, out of each other's face, off the TV news and out of the print media, and everyone will live happier lives.
Don't ask, don't tell, don't throw it my face!
I think that's pretty easy to understand, right?
I have Gay friends, and I have Lesbian friends. Their sexual orientation is not the first thing, middle thing, or last thing in any conversation. It's not My business unless you make it My business. It's not the Government's business unless you make it the Government's business. It's not the Media's business unless you make it the Media's business.
I just hope Kathy Kane, a.k.a. Batwoman, came out for the right reasons, and not the wrong ones. I hope all of you out there in the Gay and Lesbian community did it for the right reasons, and not the wrong ones.
