The Numbers Game

Good afternoon, my followers. Today, let us play the numbers game.
It has been a wondrous toy of the anti-war, anti-Bush left to keep a running total of military deaths during this current campaign in the Middle East. Every time another soldier or marine is killed, doing the job we pay them to do and which they volunteered for, the drive-by media rushes to publish their names and faces, as well as the running total, all across their broadcasts, front pages, and web-sights. Of course, it has been five plus years, and the total is just over three thousand. Let us compare that total to the previous wars America was involved in. Persian Gulf War: 148. Viet Nam: 47,393. Korea: 33,667. World War 2: 292,131. The Great War: 53,513. The Spanish-American War: 385. Our Civil War: 140,415. The Mexican War: 1,733. The War of 1812: 2,260. The Revolution: 4,435. As you can see, our current dilemma is actually on the low end, comparably.
Something the left-wingers don't publish, emphasize, or even mention, is the fact that during the five years of conflict in the Middle East that has taken the lives of 3,000+ of our nation's heroes, 7,000+ college students have died of alcohol poisoning, or related accidents. How can the lunatic leftists proclaim their shame over the deaths of soldiers and marines in an "unjust war" while ignoring the preventable deaths of students, the vast majority of which were under-aged in the first place, from alcohol? My God, they have to be the coldest souls in the world to ignore this simple fact!
I will enlighten you, my minions, as to why. It is really very simple if you take a moment to think about it. The Leftists, i.e. the Democratic Party, can not advance their agenda parading dead students, students that they count on to follow their agenda blindly. It would be anti-liberal to knock the very future of the liberal-left. Would they seek to alienate their constituents by putting pressure on the very institutions that preach their message to crack down on the liberties of their students? What student would back a politician that seeks to impose more control over their lives?
Liberals want to blame President Bush for all the deaths since 9/11 of civilians and military alike. And yet it is the Left and their liberal manners that are to blame for the over twice as many deaths and injuries to students each and every year. I have yet to hear a single politician be asked about this issue, not they would have an answer to it anyhow.
It is a national crisis that each and every politician ignores, for the simple reason that there is no money, or advancement, to be gained by addressing it. Too bad Cindy Sheehan, Nancy Pilosi, Oprah Winfrey, Rosie O'Donald, and the others would rather attack the President than take on this much more important issue, don't you think?

It's 2-thousand O-My-God Seven!!!

Welcome to the new year, minions. Then again, we are only one week in and already the Loony-Leftist, Tree-Hugging, Doom-and-Gloomers have already proclaimed that 2007 WILL be the hottest year on record.

I have to say, these idiots are really starting to get to me. Last year they predicted the worst Atlantic storm season ever would devastate the US East and Gulf coasts. Ooops! They got that one wrong. I guess their crystal balls were a little foggy on that prediction, eh?
Now, the winter is mild, even pleasant, but they seem to think it is their province to warn us all of the impending disasters we all face in the coming year! Aaarrgh!!! Will you nut-jobs just give us a break!!! There is no government conspiracy to destroy the environment. The big corporations are not secretly conspiring to rule the world. The planet can not and will not be destroyed by mankind.
I just ask that all of you out there USE YOUR BRAINS!!! Think about it. Listen to all points of view, and then go on with your own lives without living in constant fear of the next big apocalyptic prediction of over-self-important IDIOTS!!!
Just one-hundred years ago, mankind had no idea of the pleasures of a warmly heated, pleasantly cooled home was. Now just about all of us have that luxury. Not to mention our cars, workplaces, shopping places, all are pleasant year-round. We can keep our food refrigerated for months, ready to be prepared for our consumption at a moment's notice. And we have tons of products canned, jarred, or packaged that can survive for years. We can grow fruits and vegetables indoors, in temperature and humidity controlled environments, no matter the outside temperatures.
For thousands of years mankind has adapted to and overcome the extremes that our mother world has thrown at us. We have survived through plagues, ice-ages, heat-waves, droughts, hurricanes, blizzards, floods, locusts, famine. All sorts of challenges to our humanity. And we have continued to prosper and procreate.
So what if 2007 ends up the hottest in recorded history? So what if the world continues to warm? So what if the ice melts and the oceans rise? If you are worried that this will be the end of days for mankind and nothing you do can prevent your demise, then do those of us who plan to adapt and overcome a favor: End it right now. Shut up and go away. Lock yourself in your home and cower in a corner and never show your cowardly face in public again. We will all be better off without your whimpering and whining about every little thing nature throws at us.
As for the rest of you who plan on living long, happy, and fruitful, lives, have a wonderful 2007!!!
